Thinking back to when I was serving pints of bitter by the boat load, If I’d have said ‘in 40 years’ time, you lads will be drinking alcohol free beer’ at best they’d have laughed and at worst would’ve given me a right mouthful of expletives too rude to put on here!

Well, here we are in the 21st century and low and no alcohol is here to stay and growing at a rapid rate.

Younger drinkers in particular are conscious about their health & wellbeing and alcohol consumption. Where once proud pubs stood, we now see coffee shops, health food shops and gymnasiums.

Trust me, I was not a believer, but once again, if we do not react to off trade trends in the on trade, our customers will seek their requirements elsewhere.
